On December 6th, in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Braga Campus of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), a Seminar on Human Resources Management at IPSS took place entitled "Best Human Resources Practices = Best Results? "
This included interventions by the Pro-Rector of UCP Braga, João Manuel Duque, the President of the District Union of IPSS Braga, José Antunes and the Director of the District Social Security Center of Braga, João Manuel Leite Ferreira, in the opening session.
Next, the project Academia de Formação Executiva da Católica Braga,organizer of this event, was presented by its coordinator, Ana Salazar, who identified its objectives and areas of activity, which include training and applied consultancy, aimed at companies, entities and residents of the Minho region.
Within the scope of the seminar's issues, the Corporate Director of Human Resources of the Mota-Engil group, Luís Monteiro, opened the panel and addressed the theme "Managing People to Serve People" and presented a set of social, cultural, environmental, technological and economic impacts, as well as the impact they have on people management.
Next, António Cunha, Human Resources Director at OTIIMA, took a practical approach to the challenges that people management currently faces, with reference to strategies for dealing with them.
Finally, the session included the participation of Frederico Cruzeiro Costa, founder and president of the Agência de Empreendedores Sociais, who presented the objectives of social entrepreneurship, as well as a set of projects developed in Portugal and abroad, emphasizing the relevance that the brand personnel have a role in the success of these types of projects.
