On 30 May, the Pro-Rector of the Portuguese Catholic University - Braga, Paulo Dias, attended the XXVIII edition of the ‘A Nossa Terra’ Awards. The ‘A Nossa Terra’ Awards are an initiative that aims to publicly recognise the merit of citizens and entities that have stood out in significant actions in favour of the community, the municipality, the region or the country, in their various sectors of activity, thus contributing to the greater dignity and prestige of Braga's good name.

Paulo Dias presented the Science and Education Award to Prof Licínio Lima. In all, 21 personalities and institutions from the city were honoured. In the individual category, awards were given for Personality, Altruism, Arts and Culture, Associativism, Career, Science and Education, Sport, Youth and Longing. The collective awards given were: Entity, Cultural and Recreational Association, Sports Association, Company in the Trade and Services Sector, Company in the Industrial Sector, Company in the Restaurant/Pastry/Hotel Sector, Entity in the Education Sector, Event, Social Solidarity Institution, Parish Council and Public Service Organisation.
