The identification card of the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP) is compulsory but free of charge and must be requested by new students once they have completed their registration.
As well as allowing access to the loan service for books and other publications, it also has banking advantages, if the student chooses to activate this feature, through the Caixa Geral de Depósitos entity.
To obtain the UCP Identification Card, students can apply online via the Digital Mobile Key by clicking here. Alternatively, students can request their card in person, at the counter for this purpose, by presenting an identification document (ID, Citizen's Card, other), their Tax Identification Number, and proof of payment of tuition fees for the 2024/25 academic year.
