The IACOBUS scientific, cultural and educational cooperation programme, managed by the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation of the Galicia-Northern Portugal Euroregion, aims to promote the joint development of research activities between university institutions, including the Portuguese Catholic University in Braga.

IACOBUS includes research projects in all areas of knowledge and promotes exchanges between the participating organisations. With support and funding from the European Union, the programme is based on the priorities defined in the Galicia - Northern Portugal Joint Investment Plan (PIC 21-27) and the strategic areas established by the Galicia - Northern Portugal Cross-Border Smart Specialisation Strategy (RIS3-T).

The programme is aimed at teachers, pre- and post-doctoral researchers, and administrative and service staff from higher education institutions. Innovation managers with at least five years‘ experience and R&D (Research and Development) technicians with less than five years’ experience can also take part. However, candidates wishing to take part must have an employment contract or research contract in force with one of the member organisations. They must also be able to work across borders.

Applications, which close on 23 December 2024, must be submitted via the IACOBUS platform. All the documents for the new calls are also available on the programme's website.
