Turismo de Portugal has just launched the 2nd edition of the Luís Patrão Scholarship, an innovative programme that supports advanced and specialised training in the areas of management, economics, administration, finance, marketing and tourism, with the aim of training a new generation of leaders for the sector.
This scholarship is aimed at students and professionals who wish to invest in their academic or professional qualifications at institutions of recognised national and international prestige.
The Master's in Tourism at Universidade Católica Portuguesa - Braga is one of the eligible programmes taught by Portuguese universities ranked CWTS Leiden in the Financial Times ranking. This means that students admitted to this programme can apply.
The Luís Patrão Scholarship includes two types of support:
- Type A | 5 scholarships for postgraduate, master's or MBA programmes, worth €50,000 each;
- Type B | 5 grants for specialised professional training, also worth €50,000 each.
Note: In the event of budget availability, up to 10 additional grants may be awarded, distributed equally between both types.
Applications are open until 31 May 2025 and must be submitted via the official Luís Patrão Scholarship website.
