Eva Nizon Araújo, who has a degree in Communication Sciences from the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University - Braga, was awarded the prize for Best Citizen Initiative at the Awards Gala at the Université Sorbonne in Paris. This award, presented by the Franco-Portuguese Association CapMagellan in conjunction with Banque BCP, aims to highlight projects created by Lusophones and Lusodescendants.
HidraLocaliza was the project that earned Eva Araújo this award. It consists of a mobile application for firefighters, forest firefighters and other civil protection agents, whose functionality consists of providing information in real time about all kinds of occurrences, as well as providing the most strategic locations for firefighting and/or providing help.
The app is still under development and is integrating Artificial Intelligence to localise strategic points and predict the development of incidents.
It will soon be available on the AppStore and PlayStore.
