On the 13th of January, Professor of the Degree in Philosophy Artur Ilharco Galvão was invited by those responsible for the Academia de Pensamento project, Raquel Costa and Afonso Espregueira, S.J., to give a class on the construction of arguments. Among the topics analyzed were the definition and characterization of the elements of an argument.

Academia de Pensamento is an initiative aimed at secondary school students at the Nun'Alvres Institute (Caldas da Saúde – St.º Tirso) and aims to help students develop their critical thinking, argumentation and debate. Therefore, it is intended to raise awareness of the complexity of topics that concern contemporary society and the need to listen and understand different points of view.
