On 21 March, the UCP4SUCCESS project, in partnership with MENTORIZA*TE, held another Mentoring training activity. The event began with a social lunch, which provided a moment to strengthen relationships between mentees and mentors.
This was followed by the "Capacitar*me! From University to Success", which was open to the entire academic community, given the relevance of the topics covered. The panel included lecturers Diana Lima, Íris M. Oliveira and João Nuno Gonçalves, as well as curricular interns Inês Ferreira and Lara Igreja, who organised workshops on: How to see anxiety as an opportunity; Presenting a career pitch; The role of artificial intelligence in reviewing literature and writing academic papers; and Conflict resolution.
For Lídia Viana de Pinho, UCP4SUCCESS psychologist, ‘this activity reflected the commitment of Católica and UCP4SUCCESS to promoting academic and professional success through moments of collaborative learning and training students for an increasingly demanding and dynamic labour market.’
The session was also attended by the Pro-Rector of the Portuguese Catholic University, Paulo Dias, and the Director of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, Bruno Nobre, who emphasised the importance of mentoring and mutual support in the academic journey.
This project is supported by the Directorate-General for Higher Education (DGES) and the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
