Sociology II aims to stimulate personal reflection on the fundamentals of society, so that there is a greater understanding of the main phenomena or social facts that characterize the complexity of current societies.
In this way, this curricular unit intends to provide students with tools and essential elements that facilitate the analysis of society, while calling on their curiosity and imagination to deal with social phenomena.
Its specific objectives are:
- Critically analyze contemporary social reality;
- Contextualize the origins and the formation of the sociological habitus;
- Relate contemporary sociological theories to current social problems;
- Interpret and explain the experiential worlds that make up the daily experience of individuals and the meaning they attach to them.
