Social Policy I aims to analyze social evolution in post-April 25 Portugal, contextualizing the ideological framework that inspired the historical configurations of each of the sectoral policies (social security, health, employment and vocational training, education, housing, senior citizens and social exclusion). Based on a critical reading of the European and Portuguese social reality, the program includes a survey of the main social indicators, legislation, resources and benefits in the various areas, as well as the study of concepts and principles associated with the welfare state.
