- Promote the interdisciplinary study of the cognitive, emotional and socio-cultural bases of the Media;
- Identify mechanisms and strategies of media cognition;
- Know and apply models of Cognitive Science in general and Cognitive Linguistics in particular in the analysis of discourses and ideologies of journalism and media;
- Critically analyze the media and journalistic languages and discourses
- Understand the flexibility and social dynamics of meaning and interpret semantic conflicts based on prototype theory and socio-semantic norm theory
- Analyze conceptual metaphor, conceptual metonymy, and conceptual merging in political and economic discourses;
- Analyze cognitive mechanisms of conceptual perspective and intersubjectivity in the construction of journalistic texts.
