Based at the Braga Regional Center of the Portuguese Catholic University, the Católica Braga Executive Training Academy is aimed primarily at companies, institutions and residents of the Minho region.  

The objectives of the Católica Braga Executive Training Academy are:

  • Developing short and medium-term training courses aimed at managers of companies, entities and other organizations in all sectors of activity, as well as individuals who wish to develop their knowledge and skills in the various areas of the social sciences and humanities.
  • To develop projects, within the scope of the areas of knowledge of the training, applied to companies, entities and other organizations, in order to make training applied to the business and organizational context the differentiating factor and the great added value of the Católica Braga Executive Training Academy.
  • To serve as a means of disseminating the state of the art in the various areas of the social sciences and humanities, both through applied training and by promoting meetings, seminars and conferences with renowned academic and business speakers.
  • To develop applied consultancy projects for companies, entities and other organizations in the region, particularly in terms of market research, strategic planning, marketing, human resources, sustainability, data management, land management, among others, in a wide range of business sectors.
  • Create a portfolio of knowledge, models, tools, cases and projects that serve as benchmarks and can be shared with companies, entities and other organizations..

Making use of the distinctive and recognized competences of the Portuguese Catholic University, it aims to contribute to the development of companies, institutions and the rest of the community, by offering executive training, applied projects and consultancy, with high added value for them. 

The applied training is taught by excellent lecturers from the various UCP campuses, as well as by recognized and experienced specialists from the market and from various sectors of activity, with the main objective of transferring knowledge, models and tools, applying them to the different realities of each organization and participant, thus developing the necessary skills for making informed decisions in the various areas of management.

This applied training model is so named because of its distinctive nature, since each training course has as its final module a consultancy project applied to each of the organizations or participants, in one of the areas that make up the training plan.

This final module, supported by a team of consultants from the Católica Braga Executive Training Academy, has as its main objective the application of one of the training topics, which may involve developing, optimizing, substantiating, evaluating or diagnosing a process, product or service.

Areas of knowledge such as people management, strategy, market research, planning, marketing, urban planning, mediation, sustainability, leadership, communication, branding, segmentation, positioning, productivity, quality management, information technology and management, personal development or conflict management and negotiation are some of the areas that, based on the know-how and experience of our employees and partners, make up the offer of the Católica Braga Executive Training Academy.
