Comparative Studies of Portuguese Language Literatures

I:

  • Explore comparatively diverse themes that put in dialogue works from various literary systems of Lusophony;
  • Appreciate the affinities of the presence of humor and skepticism in the literature of the second half of the 19th century
  • Explore the manifestations of contemporary autobiographical writing
  • Understand salient trends in the art of the short narrative (short story);
  • Distinguish different contemporary poetic arts in the Lusophone space.

II:

  • Interpret the relevance of the theme of the body from selected poetic texts;
  • Analyze representations of the landscape and its symbology in poetic texts;
  • To problematize, within the scope of comparative studies, the relevance of the selected themes, in the field of poetry, for a greater knowledge of the Lusophone space.
