The conversation with Bruno Nobre reviews his career and how scientific and religious views can be reconciled from various angles - from miracles to the existence of God.
This week's guest is physicist and Jesuit priest Bruno Nobre, who has a degree in Technological Physics and a PhD in Elementary Particle Physics, defended in 2005 at the Instituto Superior Técnico. That same year he joined the Society of Jesus and, in 2015, he completed a master's degree in Theology (1st canonical degree) and a year later a master's degree in Systematic Theology (2nd canonical degree) at Boston College in the United States. He also did a post-doctorate in Philosophy of Science at the State University of Rio de Janeiro.
Bruno Nobre signed with atheist physicist Pedro Lind the book Dois dedos de conversa sobre o dentro das coisas (out on Frente e Verso), in which they exchange arguments, in the form of letters, about the existence or not of God.
He is currently a professor at the Portuguese Catholic University and a collaborator with the Braga Academic Centre. The conversation goes through his career and how scientific and religious views can be reconciled from various angles.
