Tuesday, November 28, 2023 - 14:33

The IACOBUS scientific, cultural and pedagogical cooperation program, managed by the European Group of Territorial Cooperation of the Euroregion Galicia – North of Portugal, aims to encourage the joint development of research activities between university institutions, including the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Braga.

IACOBUS includes research projects from all areas of knowledge and promotes exchanges between participating entities. Benefiting from the support and financing of the European Union, the program is based on the priorities defined in the Galicia - North of Portugal Joint Investment Plan (PIC 21-27) and on the strategic areas established by the Galicia - North of Portugal Cross-Border Smart Specialization Strategy (RIS3 -T).

The program is aimed at teachers, pre- and post-doctoral researchers, and administration and service staff at Higher Education institutions. Innovation managers, with at least five years of experience, and R&D (Research and Development) technicians, with less than five years of experience, can also participate. However, candidates wishing to participate must have an employment contract or a research relationship in force with one of the participating entities. They must also be able to work across borders. In favor of promoting equal opportunities, 5% of research stays are also reserved for people with disabilities and whose degree corresponds to at least 33% disability.

Applications, which close on December 15, 2023, must be submitted through the  iacobus.gnpaect.eu platform. All documents for new calls for applications are also available on the program's website.
