On June 29, Cândido Oliveira Martins, lecturer and Culture Coordinator at the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP) - Braga, presented the poetry book "Lições da Miragem" (Assírio e Alvim), by Ricardo Gil Soeiro, at Livraria Tantos Livros, in Lisbon.
The poet Ricardo Gil Soeiro was born in 1981 and, as well as being a writer, he is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon, in the area of Literary Studies / Comparative Literature, as well as a researcher at the Center for Comparative Studies, in the area of Comparative Literature, Theory of Literature, Philosophy, with a special focus on Hermeneutics (Steiner, Heidegger, Ricoeur, Caputo), and German Expression Literature, Memory Studies and Post-Humanist Studies.
As a writer, he is the author of several books of poetry (Palimpsesto; Tratado da Mão; Pirilampos; among many other titles); as well as an important set of essays (A Sabedoria da Incerteza; Poéticas da Incompletude; Memória, Filologia e Esquecimento; Rethinking the Humanities: Paths & Challenges, etc.). His work has been honored by various awards and literary critics.
