On June 6 and 7, the II International Seminar on the Prevention of Violence against the Elderly took place in Brazil.

At the invitation of the Court of Justice of Ceará (TJCE), through the Commission for the Protection and Defense of the Elderly, Professor Filomena Ponte, Coordinator of the Master's Degree in Education - Special Education, took part as a speaker and addressed the theme "Ageism: Nature and Magnitude of Age Prejudice - Impact and Determinants and Interventions in Education and Intergenerational Contact".
