P. Bruno Nobre is the new director of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences at the Catholic University. In this interview he talks about the challenges facing the Humanities in the current context and the Faculty in particular.
P. Bruno Nobre succeeds Fr José Manuel Lopes as head of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences at the Braga Regional Centre of the Portuguese Catholic University. In this conversation with Ponto SJ, he recalls the history of the faculty in the context of the city of Braga and the very presence of the Society of Jesus, as well as the challenges of teaching the humanities in the context of today's society. The professor also highlights the relationship between the intellectual, academic and pastoral work carried out by the Jesuits - professors and Jesuits in training who study there - at the faculty and also at the Braga Academic Centre, located next to the faculty.
