Simão Salazar, who has a degree in Communication Sciences from the Catholic University of Portugal – Braga Regional Center and is currently a Master's student in Digital Communication at this institution, was awarded in the field of Marketing and Communication, by Liga Portugal and by Marketeer, as a coach at FC Vizela.
In a statement, the UCP explains that the prize, referring to the month of October 2022, was awarded to FC Vizela and Casa Pia AC for the joint fair-play initiative, carried out in anticipation of the duel between the two teams.
According to Simão Salazar, this recognition “is the result of teamwork and a message that we want to pass on with regard, essentially, to FairPlay sports and the mark that we want to leave in the area of social responsibility. In order to make a difference in football, especially from a communication and marketing perspective, we have to create different dynamics that allow us to evolve and project the Vizela brand within the scope of social responsibility”.
The distinction, resulting from a partnership between Liga Portugal and Marketeer, aims to recognize the best campaigns, actions and promotional content promoted by Sports Societies throughout the season. For Simão, “the victory belongs to our department and our communication team, but it also belongs to Casa Pia, which was available to collaborate with us and help in the implementation of true sports FairPlay”.
