Between January 13 and 17, 2025, in the city of Salamanca, teachers Ana Salazar, Daniela Monteiro, José Miguel Vilaça and Maria José Lopes took part in the second and final module of the “Curso de Formación Básica UNIJES”, which brought together teaching and non-teaching staff from Jesuit universities across Spain.
This is the second time that FFCS teachers have taken part in this initiative, which aims to promote reflection and personal and professional growth based on Ignatian identity through a series of lectures, workshops and other activities such as visits to Ignatian sites and UNIJES (Jesuit Universities of Spain) faculties.
In order to deepen the knowledge and awareness of the mission as a collaborator in the Company's universities acquired in Module I, the work program of Module II of the “Curso Formación Básica UNIJES” focused on personal and group study and reflection on the Ledesma-Kolvenbach Paradigm. The introduction and analysis of the topics Humanitas, Fides, Iustitia, Utilitas were carried out by Ildefonso Camacho, SJ; Albert Florensa Giménez; Pedro Azpitarte, SJ; Xavier Casanovas; and Francisco Xavier de la Torre. Jesuit priests P. Javier Cía and J. García de Castro spoke about the beginnings of the Society of Jesus.
The FFCS was part of the training program for professors at Jesuit universities, designed by UNIJES as part of the objective of strengthening the institutional identity as a Faculty of the Society of Jesus and as a Catholic University.
