Católica Braga marca presença nas Cidades Criativas da UNESCO

The 16th annual conference of UNESCO's Creative Cities Network brought together around 350 delegations from more than 100 countries in Braga from July 1 to 5. The Portuguese Catholic University (UCP) - Braga, represented by Professor Cândido Oliveira Martins, who is also the Culture Coordinator at the respective higher education institution, took an active part in these sessions.

The macro objective of this major event was to think about the transformative place of culture and creativity in sustainable urban development for the next decade. From this shared reflection on the irreplaceable role of Culture in the agenda of UNESCO's major goals, a guiding document was born - "Braga Manifesto: a Culture Goal for Sustainble Development", as it was realized that the best cities begin to be built with Culture and creativity for all, bringing young people into the field of political decision-making.
