Católica Braga lecturer takes part in debate in the European Parliament

On January 30, Manuel Antunes da Cunha, a lecturer at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences (FFCS) of the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP) - Braga, took part in “The Portuguese Diaspora in the European Union”. This event, organized by SEDES Europa (Association for Economic and Social Development), was held at the European Parliament in Brussels.

Manuel Antunes da Cunha is a member of the governing bodies of SEDES Europa and in this session he moderated the debate on “Civic and political rights of the Portuguese diaspora” between Sebastião Bugalho, EPP MEP - Portugal, Francisco Assis, S&D MEP - Portugal, and Catarina Vieira, Green MEP - Netherlands.

Ana Catarina Mendes, MEP, Paulo Rangel, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Álvaro Beleza, President of the SEDES Coordinating Council, and Miguel Poiares Maduro, Vice-President of SEDES, were present at the meeting, which focused on the voting methodology that should be used.
