Portuguese Catholic University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Salta, Argentina, last March 20th. "An important moment", in the words of the President of Católica, Isabel Capeloa Gil, which "strengthens the relationship" between the two Universities, members of the International Federation of Catholic Universities (FIUC).

According to the President of Universidade Católica, this is a partnership that is intended to be "universal in the true Catholic sense". As for the future, Isabel Capeloa Gil hopes that in the scope of this agreement it will be possible to "create mobility between the two institutions".

Also Rodolfo Gallo Cornejo, Rector of the University of Salta (UCASAL), considers this "an important step" that comes to "concretise the bond" between the two Universities.

The representatives of the two Catholic Universities also celebrated the work of rapprochement carried out in recent months that made the signing of the agreement possible.

The protocol now signed intends to structure the cooperation between Católica and the Argentine university in several areas of teaching and research, as well as to strengthen the relationship in the multilateral scope, within the framework of the Organization of Catholic Universities of Latin America and the Caribbean (ODUCAL), one of the regional associations of the FIUC.

The agreement was signed in a virtual ceremony, where the Director of Global Engagement of Católica, Francisco Mendes-Palma, and the Director of Internationalisation and Mobility of USALTA, Valeria Vorano, were also present.
