Applications open: T4EU Competitions for Sustainable Heritage

Monday, January 27, 2025 - 09:41

Applications for the T4EU Sustainable Heritage Competition are open until March 14, 2025. This initiative is aimed at Master's and PhD students from the Portuguese Catholic University and will have a face-to-face component in Trieste, Italy, from June 16 to 20, 2025.

The competition will focus on the theme of “Environmental Heritage and Generations”, which will provide an opportunity to debate how heritage can serve to raise awareness of climate change, recover the stories and experiences of older generations and facilitate exchanges between them and younger generations.

The Challenge

Students are invited to explore the role of cultural and creative organizations in developing new models for disseminating information, as well as raising awareness in civil society about climate change and its impact on our Cultural Heritage and Landscape. Each group will have to design a cultural project, centered on the theme of Environmental Heritage and Generations and aimed at involving specific target audiences. The projects must have local relevance but be replicable in similar contexts, involve citizen science activities, incorporate methodologies for collecting and preserving intergenerational memories and adopt innovative and environmentally sustainable strategies.

Awards

The winning group will receive a prize of €2,000 and the chance to refine or implement their project with the support and mentoring of the Museo della Bora.
