On March 13, at 11 a.m., an open class entitled “Maria! Don't kill me, I'm your mother!”, by Camilo Castelo Branco - From the pages of newspapers to a literary success, as part of the degree in Communication Sciences.

The speaker will be Luciene Marie Pavanelo, a lecturer in Portuguese Literature at the Institute of Biosciences, Letters and Exact Sciences at Paulista State University.

Assistant Professor MS-3.2 in RDIDP (Full Dedication to Teaching and Research) at the São Paulo State University (UNESP), in the area of Portuguese Literature at the Institute of Biosciences, Letters and Exact Sciences (IBILCE) on the São José do Rio Preto campus, in the Degree courses in Letters and in the Postgraduate Program in Letters, of which she is a permanent lecturer. She has a PhD in Comparative Studies of Portuguese Language Literatures from the University of São Paulo (USP), with a sandwich period at the University of Minho (Portugal); a Master's Degree in Portuguese Literature from USP; a Bachelor's Degree in Portuguese/English Literature from the Faculty of Philosophy, Literature and Human Sciences at USP; and a Bachelor's Degree in Literature from the Faculty of Education at USP. She completed a post-doctoral internship at USP's Graduate Program in Comparative Studies of Portuguese Language Literatures between August 2019 and August 2020. She is the leader of the Camilo Castelo Branco Research Group and a member of the Eça Group. She works mainly on the following subjects: Camilo Castelo Branco, 19th century, 19th century narrative.
