The Aula Magna of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP) - Braga will host the solemn blessing and awarding of diplomas on 23 November from 10.30am.
‘The event, which marks the end of a stage of training and the recognition of individual merit, is a privileged moment of reunion between the students who completed their 1st and 2nd cycle courses in the previous academic year, 2023-2024 - accompanied by their families - with colleagues and teachers,’ reads a note sent to the ECCLESIA Agency.
The ceremony began with a speech by the Pro-Rector of UCP-Braga, Paulo Dias, followed by the blessing of the diplomas by the Archbishop of Braga, José Cordeiro, who was represented by Canon Luís Miguel Rodrigues, vice-director of the Faculty of Theology, and the presentation of the diplomas to the students.
The words of a graduate will also be heard, representing all those present.
The academic choir of UCP-Braga will be the star of the show, which will close with speeches from the rector of UCP, Isabel Capeloa Gil, and Canon Luís Miguel Rodrigues, vice-director of the Faculty of Theology.
