The Portuguese Catholic University, through the Center for Sustainable Finance of the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, in partnership with the Católica Porto Business School and the Santander Foundation, has launched the new online course “Introduction to Sustainability in Business - Financial Perspective”.
Unique in Portugal and focused on the importance of sustainability in company finances, this course is aimed at professionals from all sectors, with no previous experience required.
The course is free for the first 1000 participants in order to facilitate capacity building and increase literacy in Sustainability Finance in Portugal.
Applications are open until October 20 through Santander's Open Academy platform.
Throughout the course, participants will be able to explore strategies for integrating sustainability into financial and business management in order to ensure a more efficient transition. This course will enable you to:
- Understand the transition to sustainability, including the challenges and opportunities for companies;
- Explore the current legislative framework;
- Analyze how the financial markets are supporting this transition, with an emphasis on sustainable finance;
- Learn how to start or improve the process of incorporating sustainability into your business strategy, with a focus on competitive opportunities and access to finance.
