The Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) and the Shrine of Fatima will celebrate the signing of a Collaboration Protocol on 14 October at 17:30.

This protocol, signed by the President of the UCP, Isabel Capeloa Gil, and the President of the Shrine, Father Carlos Cabecinhas, aims to formalise and continue the long-standing collaboration between the two institutions, with particular emphasis on theology, history and heritage. 

Among the initiatives formalised in this protocol is the creation of the ‘Chair of Fatima Studies: Religion and Society’, which will be run jointly by UCP and the Shrine.

In addition, the protocol provides for the integration of specialists from both institutions in scientific, educational and artistic projects, as well as in the preservation and restoration of the heritage of the Shrine of Fatima. 

The event will also include the conference ‘War and Peace in the Century and in the Message of Fatima’, given by José Miguel Sardica, historian and UCP professor.
