The Archdiocese of Braga, the Commission for the Protection of Minors and Vulnerable Adults of the Archdiocese of Braga and the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences (FFCS) of the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP) - Braga began a path towards promoting a Culture of Care in institutions entrusted to the Church. One of the groups where its mission is embodied is made up of Private Social Solidarity Institutions, dedicated especially to vulnerable minors and older adults.
Following the Letter to the People of God by D. José Cordeiro and the Auxiliary Bishops and in light of the commitment to social and pastoral responsibility that drives them, they prepared the meeting "From protection to care: IPSS's commitment to a culture of care" , on January 26th and February 2nd, with the aim of promoting a culture of care in IPSS.
On January 26th, it will take place at the Aula Magna Padre António Freire of the FFCS of UCP - Braga and will be attended by D. José Cordeiro. On February 2nd, it will be at Espaço Vita, in Braga, and will have D. Delfim Gomes present.
The Archbishop Primate of Braga calls for the participation of a member of the Board of your IPSS, accompanied by a member of the technical team, for a moment of relationship and sharing, but also to gather needs for an IPSS monitoring plan that will be started here.
Registration is mandatory and costs €15 per institution. It can be done until January 22th.
