Friday, June 2, 2023 - 18:24

Maker Space, in Ireland, took place between the 22nd and 26th of May and brought together participants from the five universities that are part of the TESTEd project, including the Catholic University of Portugal (UCP). The Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences was represented by Professor Raquel Rodrigues, with the local support of Professor Paulo Dias.

The main objective of this event was to promote reflection on opportunities and possibilities for the development of Open Educational Resources for Teachers, within the scope of the five cross-cutting topics, which, according to TESTEd, should be placed at the forefront of teacher training. The respective topics are: education for sustainable development; democratic education and active citizenship; diversity and gender equality; multilingual and cultural diversity; and the digitization of learning spaces.

In this sense, a workshop was organized for students from different countries and the stages of Design Thinking were carried out, according to Hasso Plattner's model, which covered everything from diagnosing obstacles to creating teaching resources for each one. of the above topics. In this activity, professor Luísa Magalhães contributed to the understanding of teachers' challenges, through the implementation of educational practices, with a view to encouraging sustainability, based on intergenerational dialogue.
