The session was attended by Marcos Bazmandegan, PhD in Philosophy from the Portuguese Catholic University and a specialist in ethics and philosophy applied to business, who shared insights into how ethical and disruptive principles can boost innovation and creativity in the business fabric. During his speech, he highlighted the need to turn challenges into opportunities in order to achieve sustainable and differentiated excellence in the market.
The event also had a moment of great significance with the signing of the collaboration protocol between AEB and AFE, formalizing a strategic partnership for the development of joint training programmes, with the aim of strengthening business training in the region.
At the opening of the seminar, AEB President Daniel Vilaça stressed the importance of the link between the academic and business worlds, pointing out that “the union between academia and companies is essential to promote innovation, develop strategic skills and prepare professionals for the challenges of today's market.”
“We live in times of rapid change and constant challenges. In this context, the ability to think disruptively and innovatively, while maintaining a firm commitment to ethical principles, is more crucial than ever. This seminar is an opportunity to reflect on how we can integrate these values into our business strategies, turning challenges into opportunities.”
Addressing the partnership between AFE and AEB, Daniel Vilaça reinforced the importance of knowledge and qualification for the sustainable growth of companies:
“Through this partnership, we want to develop innovative and practical training programs, adjusted to the real needs of the business fabric. Only with prepared professionals, with strategic thinking and the ability to adapt, will we be able to guarantee the competitiveness and growth of our companies.”
The seminar also featured a speech by Paulo Dias, Dean of the Braga Campus of the Portuguese Catholic University, who stressed the importance of executive training for the growth of companies, and a presentation by Ana Salazar on AFE, highlighting the role of academia in training leaders and professionals.
The event ended with a question-and-answer session, where participants had the opportunity to deepen their reflections and exchange ideas directly with the speaker.
