The seminar ‘From Ageing to Social Action: Fields of Social Work Intervention’ will be held on 12 December at the São Tomás de Aquino Auditorium of the Portuguese Catholic University - Braga, starting at 9.30am.
The event will be attended by the Director of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, Bruno Nobre, the Coordinator of the Degree in Social Work, Catarina Vieira da Silva, the representative of the Order of Social Workers - North Delegation, Duarte Silva and various speakers from other organisations.
Throughout the day, round tables will be held on various topics such as: Mental Health and Disability: preventing discrimination and promoting social integration; Social action and active ageing: professional challenges; Models of intervention with children and young people at risk; and Trends in Social Work research.
The UCP Women's Tuna - Líricas will also be present this afternoon with a musical performance.
This event was organised by the 4th year students of the Social Work degree, under the coordination of the Scientific Committee of lecturers Carla Tralhão, Catarina Vieira da Silva, Daniela Monteiro and Jorge Barbosa.
