What are the objectives?

At the end of the course, students will have the following skills:

• Basic knowledge of the morphology and syntax of the Greek language;
• Recognition of Greek elements in Portuguese vocabulary;
• Reading and understanding simple Greek texts, using the dictionary;
• Recognizing Greek elements in Portuguese words.

Recipients

The Free Beginners Course in Classical Greek is aimed at all possible audiences, from the Portuguese Catholic University or outside (even pre-university students, from the 10th grade onwards).

Methodology

The basic grammar content will be explained using commentaries on selected texts of gradual difficulty, preferably by authors of Greek literature.
