The Degree in Social Service of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Catholic University of Portugal, in a joint action with the Association of Social Service Professionals of the Northern Regional Delegation, marks the World Day of Social Service (#WSWD2023) which is celebrated, every year, on the third Tuesday of March, with a commemorative week running from the 20th to the 23rd of the respective month.

We highlight World Social Work Day as an opportunity for social workers, social work students and the community in general to reflect on the importance of the work carried out by these professionals on behalf of society, namely in the search for and strengthening of fairer public policies and egalitarian policies that promote respect for diversity, equality, social justice and the well-being of all citizens.
