
On 22 March, the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP) opened the doors of the Aula Magna for the VIII Lira - Festival of Women's Tunas.
The tunas competing were Tun'ao Minho - Women's Academic Tuna of the University of Minho; Sal & Tuna - Women's Tuna of the Rio Maior Sports School; and Tunesa - Women's Tuna of the Ponte de Lima Agrarian School.
The Tunesa tuna won the prizes for Best Pasacalles and Best Standard Bearer. The prizes for Best Pandeireta and Tuna Mais Tuna went to Tuna Sal&Tuna. The tuna from the University of Minho - Tuna'ao Minho took home the prizes for Best Soloist, Best Instrumental and Best Tuna.
Estudantina de Braga was present at the festival as an extra-competition tuna.
