Short notes about the conference

In the presentation I will showcase the need of safeguarding an endangered language with NLP and cognitive technologies, how NLP tasks differ for old and LR languages and how GPT models can be used to offset the problems, how using theories of language learning can prove beneficial for making a custom approach, how historic and cultural ties combined with modern social media can be used as a tool for engaging new speakers and expanding the language, and how philosophical arguments arise in terms of language and cultural protection. The presented will showcase how cognitive science offers an ideal skill set to handle such demanding projects, engaging all six disciplines from the hexagon. (Sandro Skansi)
