The University of Trieste, Italy, organises T4EU European Heritage Week, from February 24 to 28, 2025. This event offers an immersive look at European Heritage, emphasising the dynamics of borders and shared cultural legacies. Applications are open to master's students, doctoral students, and post-docs until January 10.
This week of activities includes a Transformative Heritage Workshop, the Heritage Conference 'Transborder Heritage: a Multidisciplinary Approach' and a field visit to Gorizia/Nova Gorica, the border between Italy and Slovenia, providing theoretical and practical insights into the challenges of heritage in transborder areas.
This will be an opportunity for students to get in touch with different colleagues, researchers and professors and, together, explore the complex relationships between cultural heritage and borders from a multidisciplinary perspective.
The event will unite disciplines such as anthropology, history, and architecture, to address key questions of identities, memories, legacies, ownership and preservation that are particularly relevant in border regions.
