Sónia Silva has a PhD in Communication Studies: Technology, Culture and Society from the University of Minho, in partnership with ISCTE-IUL, the University of Beira Interior and the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies. She has a Master's degree in Communication Sciences – specialization area in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Minho and a Degree in Communication Sciences from the same institution.
She is a professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences at the Portuguese Catholic University and teaches in the area of Organizational and Strategic Communication.
Sónia Silva is also an integrated member of CECS - Center for Communication and Society Studies and her publications focus on the areas of Organizational Communication, Strategic Communication, Advertising, Public Relations, Social Responsibility and Marketing. With experience in integrating research teams, she is currently a member of the project “FLOW – Facing obstacles to well-being in academia: is organizational communication a starting point?”.
