Bio

Cátia Marques holds a Ph.D. in Applied Psychology from the University of Minho, with a specialization in Educational Psychology recognized by the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association. During her doctoral studies, she completed international internships at Beirut Arab University and the University of Santiago de Compostela.

Her professional career has been dedicated to teaching in higher education, research, and educational psychology intervention. Since 2024, she has been a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University and a researcher at the Center for Philosophical and Humanistic Studies.

Her action research interests have focused on the study of life trajectories of vulnerable populations, social and professional inclusion, with an emphasis on ethical decision-making processes and the articulation of career and academic paths among youth and adults. She has published works and presented papers on these topics and serves as a reviewer for international scientific journals.

In community outreach, she works as a psychologist, collaborates on initiatives involving psychological interventions in educational settings, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Portuguese Association for Career Development. She has also collaborated on initiatives organized by the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association.
