The learning objectives of this course are:
- To promote mastery of the epistemological and methodological foundations that underpin research in the social sciences; to equip students with the skills to rigorously select and apply qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods approaches in the conduct of scientific research;
- Develop skills in formulating research questions and in the systematic collection and analysis of empirical data; promote the incorporation of ethical principles into the planning and conduct of scientific research;
- Equip students with the skills to write scientific reports and to use technological tools to support social research.
