This course will address current developments in Construction Grammar in order to give the participants an overview of where the field is going. The course is structured into three units. The first unit focuses on theoretical issues, that is, foundational questions about Construction Grammar as a model of linguistic knowledge. Special attention will be given to current debates concerning the structure of the constructional network. The second unit addresses different sources of data that inform constructional research, including corpora, experimental studies, and multi-modal data. The third unit turns to developments in methodology and explores a range of corpus-based tools that have recently become available for the study of constructions.
