Católica Braga hosted the 5th edition of the Braga Days against Violence, organised by APAV

The 5th edition of the Braga Days Against Violence took place on 7th May at the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences (FFCS) of the Portuguese Catholic University - Braga.

The opening session was attended by the Pro-Rector of UCP - Braga, Paulo Dias, the President of the Portuguese Association for Victim Support (APAV), João Lázaro, and the Mayor of Braga, Ricardo Rio.

Throughout the day, a diverse panel of speakers and moderators promoted moments of reflection and debate around crucial issues such as violence in sport, moral and sexual harassment, as well as violence against professionals in various fields.

The afternoon panel featured practical workshops dedicated to supporting elderly victims of crime and preventing violence and victimisation.

The Director of the FFCS, Bruno Nobre, and the Manager of the Braga Victim Support Office, Marta Mendes, held the closing session.

The event was well attended, reflecting the strong interest of the academic community, professionals and the general public in the topics covered.
