This academic year, the UCP2 Mental Health project introduced a new challenge for first-year undergraduate students at Católica Braga: UCP2 Be. This extracurricular activity aims to develop the social-emotional skills essential for university students’ academic and personal adjustment, promoting their academic and interpersonal growth with a focus on autonomy, self-regulation, and critical thinking.
Twelve students accepted this challenge and, on February 4, 2026, began developing their “Self-Awareness” skills. Over the coming months, through weekly experiential sessions, they will also have the opportunity to work on self-management skills (emotional and learning-related), social awareness, interpersonal skills, and responsible decision-making.
These sessions are expected to help students develop transferable skills that will enhance their academic, personal, and professional lives.
