The book *Queda tão leve de tudo (Húmus)* by Fernando Esteves Pinto was awarded the 2026 António Ramos Rosa APE / Faro City Council Grand Prize for Poetry, one of the most prestigious awards for poetry in Portugal.

This year’s edition featured the participation of Cândido de Oliveira Martins, a professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University in Braga, who served on the jury responsible for awarding the prize.

Organized by the Portuguese Writers’ Association in partnership with the Faro City Council, the António Ramos Rosa Grand Prize for Poetry is awarded annually to works of recognized literary merit, with the aim of honoring the legacy of António Ramos Rosa, one of the leading figures in contemporary Portuguese poetry.

The inclusion of a professor from Católica on the jury for this literary award highlights the University’s academic and cultural contribution to the promotion of critical reflection, literature, and the appreciation of poetry in Portugal.
