Between 27 and 31 October, the Braga Campus of the Portuguese Catholic University will be promoting various awareness-raising activities as part of Pink Month, a period dedicated to raising awareness, prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer.
As part of this initiative, a series of interactive activities will take place on 29 October, starting at 2 p.m., under the motto ‘Take care today, live tomorrow’, which aim to alert the academic community to the importance of prevention and health care, reinforcing the role of education and volunteering in promoting well-being.
Participation is open to the entire academic community and is part of a one-off volunteering model, through which it will be possible to obtain a certificate of participation, subject to prior registration.
Pink Month is celebrated annually around the world with the aim of raising awareness of breast cancer, one of the leading causes of death among women, and promoting the importance of early diagnosis as an effective way of increasing the chances of cure.
